Beating the Index

Companies whose price has beaten the S&P 500 since their current antardasha began.

How this list is made

For every company we find the antardasha (AD) running today and measure its price change from the first close in that AD to the latest close. The index's change over the same dates is subtracted; the companies furthest ahead come first.

Included: liquid companies (about $5M or ₹5 crore traded a day, price at least $1 or ₹20) whose AD has run at least 30 days, with prices back to its start. Left out: any company with a one-day move of 3× up or down to a third during the AD. Those are almost always data errors, such as a reused ticker or an unadjusted split.

A company being ahead in its antardasha describes the past. It is not a forecast: in our tests dasha periods did not predict whether a stock beat the market.
